The metalband "Waldwind" was founded in February 2008 by Bardauk (Guitar), Neurg (Vocals) and Nemrag (Trombone). In the middle of 2008 Ylveig (Drums and Percussion) and Nirsym (Bassguitar) completed the lineup. With a lot of ideas and enthusiasm the first songs took form.

In 2009 the first demo „Blättertanz“ was released. Limited to 65 copies it was sold out soon. The band played gigs together with bands like Thorngoth, Ars Irae, Blood Edition and others.

After changes in the linup the band found new members in bassguitar-player Kar (Nebelkrähe), drummer Murtem (All Gone Wrong) and pianist Kerddor (Ex-Infinum). The Debutalbum „Lohe“ was recorded in winter 2010/11 by Murtem and was mixed and mastered at the well known Dreamsound Studios in Munich by Jan Vacik. The album was released in february 2011 on a short tour in Brazil. It is limited to 300 copies.

Waldwind's art is all about nature. The lyrics are mostly about the beauty and our deep bond to our local foothill- and alpine landscape. But in the end we are fascinated by all intact nature in this lovely world.
It's not primary about critic on pollution, overexploitation and the acting of people in general. We try to give our love to nature a musically vote.
